Job Description

About the Role

The LEGO Group is seeking a skilled Community Strategy & Engagement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our community management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive community engagement strategy for our grown-up fan platforms globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Community Engagement Strategy: Create and execute a strategic plan to foster long-lasting relationships with grown-up fans and LEGO creators, ensuring a high-quality user experience across our owned touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with Internal Partners: Work closely with our product team, business owners, marketing, content, and editorial teams to support strategic priorities and deliver engaging experiences across all platforms.
  • Establish Community Engagement Guidelines: Develop clear guidelines and toolkits tailored to each platform and audience type, conducting regular audits and reviews to identify optimization opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Advocate for User and Business Needs: Provide regular reporting and insights on the impact of community engagement, user sentiment, and potential difficulties to internal collaborators.
  • Address Community Issues and Crises: Develop and implement strategies to address community issues and crises optimally, maintaining trust and visibility throughout the process.

Requirements

  • Extensive Experience: You'll need extensive experience in a similar role within a complex, global organization, driving digital community engagement and management with a consistent record of diversity and inclusion.
  • Community Organizing Principles: Familiarity with community organizing principles and practices, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies in digital spaces.
  • Audience Needs: Solid understanding of different audience needs and relevant safety considerations, including child safety laws and ethical considerations.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work across multiple levels, time zones, and global locations.
  • Strategic, Analytical, Decision-Making, and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong strategic, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to excel in this role.
