Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Frequency Domain Modeling for Renewable Energy. The successful candidate will work on the development and experimental validation of frequency domain models for renewable generation, with a focus on converter-based energy resources.

Responsibilities
  • Develop frequency domain models for each unit in the Risø-HPP facility
  • Develop test plans and perform tests for individual units as well as the complete HPP, in close collaboration with the Risø-HPP facility manager
  • Specify methods for aggregating models of individual units to create a model for the entire HPP
  • Report progress and results in meetings with the funding industry partner TotalEnergies
  • Participate in IEC standardization meetings and contribute to the development of industry standards
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of students
Requirements
  • PhD degree in a relevant field, such as power electronics, energy systems, or electrical engineering
  • Experience with frequency domain modeling and experimental validation of energy systems
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
