About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Medical Consultant to join our team at Norgine in Copenhagen. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in advancing our mission to transform lives with innovative healthcare solutions.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging in non-promotional medical/scientific/development activities and interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and other relevant stakeholders. This will include building and maintaining relationships, collaborating with HCPs, and facilitating scientific exchange related to our marketed and pipeline products.
Main Responsibilities
- Establish and Develop Relationships: Establish and develop relationships with clinical investigators, HCPs, and other relevant external stakeholders.
- Provide Scientific Information: Provide scientific information to relevant clinical investigators, HCPs, and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate.
- Facilitate Scientific Exchange: Facilitate and maintain legitimate scientific exchange related to Norgine marketed and pipeline products with medical experts to advance understanding of new scientific principles, novel research trends, and current scientific debate.
- Develop HCP Speakers: Assist in the development of HCP speakers to help disseminate scientifically balanced, up-to-date evidence to the wider HCP community.
- KOL Identification: Contribute to KOL and other stakeholder identification, mapping, and planning.
- Stay Up-to-Date: Keep updated on scientific knowledge and development within relevant therapeutic fields of interest to Norgine.
- Attend Congresses: Attend relevant scientific congresses and meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical and scientific developments within therapeutic areas and understand the dynamics of any scientific controversies.
- Gather Insights: Gather insights around clinical needs, disease needs, and related topics from the clinical community.
- Lead Voice of the Patient: Lead the planning and implementation of our voice of the patient activities and projects.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to bring the voice of the patient into the Norgine Nordic organization and to bring knowledge and understanding of the patient situation to all employees.
- Review Research Proposals: Collate and process research proposals (IIS proposals) aligned with Norgine strategic objectives.
- Review Promotional Material: Review promotional/non-promotional material to ensure compliance with applicable Nordic countries Codes of Practices.
- Sign Off Material: Sign off promotional and other material in line with the Company certification procedure.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Serve as a resource for projects and collaborate with internal colleagues to achieve best possible outcomes.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- High-Level Scientific Profile: A high-level scientific profile (e.g., Medical Doctor, MPharm, or equivalent degree)
- Pharmaceutical Experience: Pharmaceutical Medical Affairs or Clinical Development experience
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate within a matrix organization
- Effective Communication: Effective communication skills, including mastery of English and at least one Nordic language
- Data Articulation: Ability to clearly articulate complex scientific and clinical data in 1:1 and group settings
- Planning and Problem-Solving: Ability to plan own work, meet deadlines, and work with a can-do problem-solving attitude
- Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare area
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel, both nationally (Nordics) and internationally (Europe)
Estimated Salary
The estimated salary for this position is approximately €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
