Job Title: Director of Platform Engineering

Copenhagen, Denmark

Veo Technologies is a global leader in AI-based sports camera technology. Our innovative, fully automatic camera solution enables sports teams to record matches and training sessions without a camera operator. We're democratizing the world of sports by granting video analysis for teams on all levels—a privilege that used to be only for the few. More than 40,000 clubs in 90+ countries record their games every week.

As Director of Platform Engineering, you will assume leadership of the group of engineering teams responsible for building the technology platform on which we base our products and services. The deliveries of the teams span from making very concrete key contributions to the product to supporting other teams with capabilities and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive the development of a highly scalable and maintainable technology platform.
  2. Ensure that the work of the group serves the customer, internal or external.
  3. Hire high-level engineers.
  4. Motivate and coach teams.
  5. Be a key contributor to technical alignment and good engineering practices within our engineering department.
  6. Manage FTE and cost budget across the group.
  7. Drive important topics like security, business continuity, and on-call.
Requirements:
  1. Deep experience with cloud infrastructure and architecture at scale.
  2. Experience in designing a modern platform.
  3. Solid engineering background, both educationally and as a hands-on individual contributor.
  4. Extensive engineering leadership experience as a director or higher.
  5. Awesome personality contributing to an innovative positive team spirit.
  6. Knows what good looks like when it comes to building and operating large-scale cloud platforms.
  7. Ideally real-world experience with video processing and/or ML inference at scale.
  8. Preference for leading through empowerment and trust.
  9. Ability to go deep in the tech and discuss challenges.
  10. Comprehensive verbal and written English communication skills.
