Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Platform Engineering to lead our engineering teams responsible for building the technology platform on which we base our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development of a highly scalable and maintainable technology platform
  • Ensure the work of the group serves the customer, internal or external
  • Hire and motivate high-level engineers
  • Coach teams to excel in their performance
  • Be a key contributor to technical alignment and good engineering practices within our engineering department
  • Manage FTE and cost budget across the group
  • Drive important topics like security, business continuity, and on-call
Requirements:
  • Deep experience with cloud infrastructure and architecture at scale
  • Experience in designing a modern platform
  • Solid engineering background, both educationally and as a hands-on individual contributor
  • Extensive engineering leadership experience as a director or higher
  • Awesome personality contributing to an innovative positive team spirit
  • Knows what good looks like when it comes to building and operating large-scale cloud platforms
  • Ideally real-world experience with video processing and/or ML inference at scale
  • Preference for leading through empowerment and trust
  • Ability to go deep in the tech and discuss challenges
  • Comprehensive verbal and written English communication skills
