Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet Full time
Job Overview
The University of Copenhagen invites highly motivated researchers to apply for a postdoctoral position in proteomics-based research. Our goal is to advance our understanding of cardiometabolic syndrome by identifying protein regulations involved in its pathogenesis.

Responsibilities
As a postdoctoral fellow, you will investigate remodeling in hearts from animal models, patient samples, and cell systems using quantitative proteomics approaches. You will be part of a collaborative research environment, contributing to multiple projects covering experimental investigations of cellular and animal disease models as well as work with human samples.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should hold a PhD in a relevant field such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Sciences. Prior experience with mass spectrometry-based proteomics is required. Additionally, you should have hands-on skills and expert knowledge in one or more areas such as experimental know-how of mass spectrometry-based proteomics, analytical know-how of mass spectrometry data analysis, or experience in quantitative proteomics approaches.

Benefits
This position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in cutting-edge quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomics, data analysis of large datasets, and integration of multi-omics datasets. The University of Copenhagen provides a dynamic and strong scientific environment with state-of-the-art laboratories and core facilities. As a researcher at the University, you will have access to modern office spaces and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Salary and Benefits
The monthly salary for this position starts at approximately 5,100 EUR (based on an average weekly working hours of 37 per week). In addition to your salary, you will receive a supplement and employer contributions to your pension fund. Depending on your qualifications, a higher salary may be negotiated. Foreign and Danish applicants may also be eligible for tax reductions if they hold a PhD degree and have not lived in Denmark for the past 10 years.

About the Position
The position is covered by the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities 2020. This fixed-term position is limited to a period of 2 years, with the possibility for extension. The workplace is located at Maersk Tower, The Panum Institute, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
