As a postdoctoral research fellow in proteomics and genomics at the University of Copenhagen, you will join a dynamic team of researchers working on cutting-edge projects in the field.

About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented researcher to work with us on understanding the scope and function of lysine acetylation in gene regulation. The successful candidate will have a PhD and/or MD level of education corresponding to the Danish PhD degree in natural or medical science.

The position is funded by an ERC advanced grant, with additional funding from Novo Nordisk Foundation. The salary is approximately 4,656 € per month, plus 17.1% pension contribution.

The ideal candidate will have excellent scientific productivity, evidenced by high-quality research publications, be able to conduct independent and creative research, and show good interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting wet laboratory experiments involving cultured mammalian cells, CRISPR, and NGS-based genomic technologies.
  • Analyzing next-generation sequencing data, including ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, Nascent-seq, and ATAC-seq.
  • Collaborating with top-level international researchers and publishing in top-ranked journals.

Requirements:

  • PhD/MD level of education in natural or medical science.
  • Excellent scientific track record, including at least one publication in a high-quality, peer-reviewed international journal.
  • Expert knowledge in one or more areas of epigenetics, gene transcription regulation, quantitative mass spectrometry, or bioinformatics.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • An analytical aptitude for devising innovative scientific or technical solutions.
