About the Opportunity

Københavns Universitet (KU) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join its Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will work on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of nutrient recycling technologies from sewage sludge and industrial residues.

The LCA project aims to evaluate the environmental impacts of nutrient recycling technologies, ensuring that they are aligned with sustainable development goals. As a key member of the research team, you will be responsible for data collection, analysis, and interpretation, as well as contributing to the development of innovative solutions for resource recovery and waste management.

As part of the KU community, you will have access to state-of-the-art research facilities, collaborate with international experts, and contribute to cutting-edge research projects.

About the Role

  • Deploy life cycle assessment methodology to evaluate nutrient recycling technologies
  • Collect and analyze data from EU partners and other sources
  • Contribute to methodological development, especially relating to soil health assessment
  • Collaborate with researchers and industry partners to advance circular economy and resource recovery

About You

  • PhD degree in environmental science or related disciplines
  • Strong knowledge of nutrient recycling and life cycle assessment
  • Experience with data management, statistical analysis, and scientific publication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English language
