About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager to join our Marine Asset Partnerships team at Maersk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and driving innovation projects that support our company's goal of becoming carbon neutral.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic category plan to ensure cost leadership and drive business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including technical and operational teams, as well as external suppliers.
- Drive cross-functional projects to deliver cost reduction targets and implement our ESG strategy.
- Lead the evaluation and negotiation of multi-million dollar contracts and projects.
- Establish and apply cost modeling concepts, spend and demand analysis, and evaluations.
- Address day-to-day operational queries within your area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement or technical sales and marketing within the maritime, transport, or other relevant industry.
- Refined communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take an active part in the transformation of our organization.
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on achieving cost-effective solutions for the business.
- Open-minded, curious, and able to challenge both yourself and our organization to continuously develop and reach the next level.
- Excellent English written and spoken skills, with a BSc or MSc in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
