About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our Marine team at Maersk. As a key player in our Ocean Asset Partnerships, you will be responsible for identifying and driving innovation projects that support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to ensure cost competitiveness in our marine auxiliary equipment procurement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive partnerships and support our category strategies.
  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects to deliver on our ambitious cost reduction targets and drive business growth.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Evaluate and negotiate multi-million dollar contracts and projects to ensure the best value for Maersk.
  • Cost Modelling and Analysis: Establish and apply cost modelling concepts, spend and demand analysis, and evaluations to inform procurement decisions.
  • Operational Support: Address day-to-day operational queries within your area of responsibility.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement or technical sales and marketing within the maritime, transport, or other relevant industry.
  • Skills: Refined communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commercial mindset and ability to drive cost-effective solutions.
  • Education: BSc or MSc in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
  • Language: Excellent English written and spoken skills.
