We are looking for a skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at DTU Chemical Engineering. As a postdoc, you will work on a research project focused on the biological conversion of CO2 to acetic acid. The project is part of a larger initiative to develop sustainable technologies for gas fermentation and CO2 utilization.

Project Overview

The postdoc project aims to advance our understanding of the microbial processes involved in CO2 fermentation to acetic acid. You will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments to investigate the kinetics of microbial growth and product formation in Trickle Bed Reactors.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct experiments to investigate the kinetics of microbial growth and product formation in Trickle Bed Reactors.
  • Analyze data from experiments and draw conclusions about the efficiency of different microbial strains and reactor configurations.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have a PhD degree in a relevant field, such as biochemical engineering or microbiology. You should also have experience in handling and culturing anaerobic microbial cultures, operating bioreactors in batch and/or continuous mode, and gas fermentation. We value collaboration-minded individuals who can convey knowledge and good practices to others, as well as those who are self-activated and able to work independently.
