Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and teaching activities as part of the project 'E Pluribus Plures: Is identity politics a new fault line in contemporary societies?' led by Professor Peter Thisted Dinesen.

The position involves developing research designs, collecting and analyzing data, writing papers, and teaching courses on political behavior and quantitative methods. The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree in Political Science, Sociology, or a related field, and experience with quantitative analysis, experiment design, and coding.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on identity politics and its consequences for social cohesion
  • Develop and apply research designs, including experiments and survey questions
  • Analyze data using statistical programming languages (e.g., R or Stata)
  • Write academic papers and reports
  • Teach courses on political behavior and quantitative methods
Requirements
  • PhD degree in Political Science, Sociology, or a related field
  • Experience with quantitative analysis, experiment design, and coding
  • Strong academic writing and teaching skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
