Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Content Manager to lead the technical function of the Standards Division at Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical content for the GRI Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the technical function of the Standards Division, including time allocation of technical managers across different internal and external technical projects.
  • Manage projects to implement targeted technical updates to the GRI Standards, according to the GSSB Due Process Protocol.
  • Draft high-quality technical content for the GRI Standards, in close collaboration with writers/editors and project teams, based on input from expert groups, public comments, and research.
  • Perform technical reviews of draft GRI Standards to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality of content.
  • Coordinate and perform reviews of standards in the market and prepare technical feedback on interoperability with the GRI Standards.
  • Manage the development of interoperability guidance with key standards in the market.
  • Coordinate with other GRI departments to undertake technical reviews of GRI's products and services to ensure consistency with the GRI Standards.
  • People management responsibilities: Craft development plans, arrange training sessions, and ensure continuous learning while coaching and counselling your team.

Requirements

  • Demonstratable experience of at least 10 years in managing extended projects, including planning, execution, and budget management.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Technical knowledge of the GRI Standards and other reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to the highest standards of quality.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, and fluency in one other language is an advantage.
  • Results-focused with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of sustainability issues and familiarity with the sustainable development agenda.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to write clear content for a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent team-working skills.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail, including experience delivering presentations and facilitating workshops or training sessions.
  • Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural setting.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment where change is ongoing.
  • Affinity with the mission of GRI.
