About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic researcher to join our team at the Department of Neuroscience, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating the mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders and epilepsy using live cell imaging techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct experiments to study cellular models of neurodevelopmental delay and epilepsy
  • Develop and implement live cell imaging protocols to detect consequences of disease mutations on the circuit level
  • Collaborate with the research group to analyze and interpret imaging data
  • Contribute to the development of new imaging methods and techniques
Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent scientific track record and experience with cell culture methods
  • Experience with fluorescence microscopy and image analysis
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficient English language skills
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with human stem cell work and/or live cell microscopy
About the Research Group

Our research group is interested in the mechanism of neurotransmitter release in chemical synapses and the molecular basis for neurodevelopmental diseases and epilepsy. We use an interdisciplinary approach, combining human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neurons or mouse neurons with microscopy, electrophysiology, and omics methods.
