We are looking for a talented scholar to join our team at the Department of Political Science and Public Management, University of Southern Denmark, Odense. As an Associate Professor in International Politics, you will be part of the International and Regional Politics section and contribute to our research environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting and publishing high-quality research in areas relevant to the IRP section and Center for War Studies
- Teaching and supervision within the department's portfolio of study programs, including the Master program in International Security and Law and the professional Master in Intelligence and Cyber Studies
- Study program management at the Master in Intelligence and Cyber Studies
- Applying for external research funding to develop the research environment
- Engaging in knowledge exchange activities with the wider society
We require:
- A research profile aligned with the strategy of the International and Regional Politics Section, indicating potential for international scholarly impact and facilitating research cooperation within the Center for War Studies
- Substantial publication of research at an internationally recognized level
- Proven ability to participate in and develop research collectives and international networks
- A strong teaching profile demonstrating experience with various teaching and supervision formats
- Proven ability in developing and implementing new pedagogical or didactical techniques
- Documented participation in fundraising and coordination of research projects
- An experience with and genuine interest in outreach or knowledge-sharing activities
Applicants should present a clear plan for attracting external funding for the coming 5 years. We value good interpersonal skills and dedication to participating in the academic and social environment at the Department.
