About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician Manager to lead our team of technicians in delivering exceptional service quality and compliance with Data Center Services policies and procedures.


As a key member of the Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will be responsible for guiding and directing the team to ensure timely and successful completion of tasks, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and service quality.


Key Responsibilities



  • Model leadership principles and provide expert guidance to technicians on performing hardware deployments, diagnostics, and hardware decommissions.
  • Prioritize technician tasks, monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure successful delivery of services.
  • Support technician performance, provide training, and accelerate career growth within the team.
  • Evaluate process changes to assess their impact on service execution and share relevant information with stakeholders.
  • Lead team and triage meetings to re-balance priorities and respond to changes.
  • Complete required safety training, conduct daily safety briefings, and participate in on-site safety committees.
  • Ensure technicians and vendor resources comply with all safety procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety and empower technicians to take action, speak up, and report safety concerns.

Requirements



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and in-depth knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • Proven experience directing, supervising, or managing others.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Experience working in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 data center environment.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Applicable certifications: ITIL Foundation, ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), BSC, CDCP, MCP, Six Sigma Green Belt.
