Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our Nanostructure group at the Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in materials chemistry with a focus on X-ray total scattering methods.

About the Position

This is an 18-24 month postdoctoral position commencing 1 December 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is part of two exciting projects: one focused on ultrafast X-ray scattering and another on size/structure relations and formation mechanisms for disordered oxide nanomaterials and high entropy materials for electrocatalysis.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent and creative research in materials chemistry
  • Develop and apply advanced modeling techniques for scattering data analysis
  • Collaborate with international researchers and students within the Nanostructure group
Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have a PhD degree in experimental chemistry, nanoscience, physics, or a similar field with experience in material synthesis and synchrotron experiments. Excellent English communication skills and the ability to write scientific papers at a high level are essential.
