We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant to join our team at the Center for Grundtvig Studies, Aarhus University. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the project "Computing Christianity. Establishing 31 Danish Bible Translations and 12 Hymnals (1740-1953) as a High-Quality Digital Corpus" funded by the Carlsberg Foundation.
Key Responsibilities:- Locate and digitize 43 subjects for the project at Det Danske Bibelselskab and Vajesenhusets Forlag
- Oversee the digitization process and ensure high-quality results
- Collaborate with the project team to achieve project goals
- Master's degree in Theology, Studies of Religion, History, Danish, or related areas
- Experience with project management and networking in the GLAM industry
- Knowledge of high-quality textual digitization tasks
- Experience with OCR procedures and Transkribus is an advantage
- A dynamic and collaborative work environment
