Overview

The Danish National Center for Climate Research (NCKF) at the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) is seeking a highly skilled climate scientist to join their team of experts in global and regional climate modelling. The position is part of NCKF's research area focused on polar regions, and the selected candidate will contribute to understanding climate change in these areas.

About the Job

The successful candidate will work with climate and ice sheet surface models, designing and executing model experiments, developing model code, and analyzing outputs. They will also lead and contribute to scientific papers, participate in grant applications, and collaborate with international partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess a PhD degree in climate science, meteorology, or related fields, with experience in climate modelling, preferably of the atmosphere or ice sheets. Advanced programming skills, knowledge of HPC systems, and good communication skills in English are essential.
