Proteomics Data Analyst

**Job Description**
">- As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with scientists and industry partners to conceptualize and execute proteomics-focused projects.
Our ideal candidate has a strong background in bioinformatics and data science, with experience working with mass spectrometry and proteomics data analysis. You should be proficient in machine learning and dimensionality reduction techniques applicable to proteomics data.
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative professional who is passionate about data science and eager to learn and work in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement bioinformatics strategies for proteomics support, including the development of analysis pipelines and educational programs to boost department-wide bioinformatics and proteomics literacy.
- Collaborate with researchers to analyze proteomics data, provide insightful solutions, and deliver insights.
- Provide consultation on data generated from proteomics projects, aiding researchers in their pursuits or independently managing projects when necessary.
- Assist with bioinformatics tool deployment and maintain the department's growing cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
- PhD or Master's degree and equivalent experience in fields like data science, bioinformatics, systems biology, biotechnology, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience with mass spectrometry and proteomics data analysis, including functional and gene enrichment analysis, handling PTMs, and peptide-level data.
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with Git for version control and working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
