Biotech Data Scientist and Process Analytics Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Biotech Data Scientist and Process Analytics Lead to join our talented team based in Hillerød, Denmark.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the direction and driving the execution of Manufacturing Intelligence / Process Analytics solutions across FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies Denmark (FDBD) end-to-end manufacturing value chain. This includes collaborating with the organization's leadership team at a strategic level, as well as hands-on deployment with QA, IT/Automation & Engineers/Scientists on manufacturing data/digital initiatives.
You will provide multivariate modelling and analytics systems expertise required to support FDBD manufacturing, both internal and external users across all product modalities. Additionally, you will lead the PA group and integrate new Data Engineers / Scientists/student assistants, ensuring that FDBD reaps the benefits of modern technology and stays at the forefront of manufacturing execution.
As a key stakeholder in establishing the site's process data and analytics value chain, you will be responsible for translating business needs and context into concrete and implementable actions within manufacturing data and digitalization.
This role involves various tasks related to ongoing projects, optimization of our data value chain, and broader strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a thought leader within manufacturing intelligence and setting the overall agenda and direction for the manufacturing data and analytics value chain in collaboration with Digital Technologies and Digitalisation.
- Oversight of training and development of staff and development of a culture of best practice data operations.
- Delegating and prioritizing activity conflicts between maintenance of current cGMP operations (day to day requests) and project work.
- Responsibility for client relations regarding process data/analytics.
- Engagement in expansion projects, mapping requirements, and developing and introducing new Manufacturing Intelligence in DP and FG production areas.
- Supporting innovation and systems improvement initiatives in the process analytics space.
In order to succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A Master's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline with 6+ years of related industry experience ideally in a biologics/biotechnology setup.
- A solid understanding of data science and experience with different machine learning algorithms and command of data science ecosystem.
- Working knowledge of systems and software packages and languages such as SIMCA, Statistica, SQL, Python, GIT.
- Experience with regulated Computer Systems Validation for GxP applications projects.
- Experience with running digital/data application projects both with Agile/Scrum ways of working.
FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies offers a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
