Cloud Adoption Strategist at Amazon

As a Cloud Adoption Strategist at Amazon, you will play a key role in driving the success of our Partner-Led Support team. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our partners to define a support strategy that enables the building of applications and services on the AWS platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Building solutions and providing technical guidance to our partners
  2. Ensuring AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
  3. Developing trusting relationships with our partners and understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  4. Driving technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  5. Collaborating with AWS Partner teams, Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  6. Providing detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and pre-launch planning
  7. Being part of a wider Enterprise Support team, providing post-sales, consultative expertise
  8. Solving a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud
  9. Uplifting Partner capabilities by running workshops, brown bag sessions, and gamedays

A day in the life of a Cloud Adoption Strategist at Amazon involves being a trusted advisor, having a direct impact on helping our partners and their customers gain the most value from cloud technology. You will craft and execute strategies to drive our customers' adoption and use of AWS services.

Our Cloud Adoption Strategists get to influence some of the most iconic Technology Partners across ANZ. You will provide advice on architecture, support strategy, project, and launch planning as well as ongoing operational issues.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
  2. 7+ years Technology Partner experience (internal within the Partner or external managing the Partner) in technical engineering or architectural role
  3. 7+ years experience in 3 or more of the following areas: Software Design or Development, Content Distribution/CDN, Scripting/Automation, Database Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Cloud Migrations, IP Networking, IT Security, Big Data/Hadoop/Spark, Operations Management, Service Oriented Architecture
  4. Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Advanced experience operating in a Partner or Channel environment
  2. Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and ability to properly apply them to existing or new customer architecture, implementations, and/or solutions
  3. Experience applying technical or operational expertise to solve complex challenges
  4. Professional oral and written communication skills, presenting to an audience containing one or more executive team member(s)
  5. Experience building resilient, secure, cost-effective, and performant systems
  6. Experience in Technology operations or DevOps
