Oxygen is a crucial element in microbial processes, influencing the conversion of biomass into valuable products. In this context, our research aims to improve understanding of oxygen-dependent enzymatic reactions and their role in biomass degradation.
As a member of the international OxyMiST consortium, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of experts to advance knowledge on oxygen constraints in microbial secretomes during plant cell wall turnover. Your contributions will be essential in developing novel methods for utilizing forest or agricultural products in a green bioeconomy.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct cutting-edge research on enzymatic degradation processes
- Analyze the role of reactive oxygen species in these degradation processes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and utilize available biomasses, pretreatments, and enzymes at the department
