We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in Data Science to join our team at the Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics (QGG), Aarhus University. The successful candidate will work on developing novel statistical and machine learning methods for genomic research in admixed populations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement statistical and machine learning methods for exploiting ancestry patterns in genomic data.
- Conduct simulations and real-data analyses to understand the impact of genetic background on complex trait phenotypes.
- Develop software tools for data analysis and simulations.
- Disseminate research findings through international conferences and scientific publications.
- Collaborate with the research team to organize short courses and workshops.
- PhD degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong background in machine learning and statistics, with experience in developing computational tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team.
- Experience in the research area is an advantage, but a keen interest in statistical and quantitative genetics is essential.
