About the Role



We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Life Sciences Solutions Expert to join our team at SAS, supporting our largest Life Sciences customers in Europe.



This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who wants to establish and build broad relationships with key stakeholders, become a trusted advisor for clients, drive strategic initiatives, and bring domain expertise to sales opportunities.



As a Senior Industry Consultant, you will be responsible for:





  • Becoming the Industry Advisor for your clients, providing guidance on how Life Sciences customers can create business value through AI, Analytics, and Technology.

  • Acting as the primary technical contact between the client and SAS, translating client business needs into value-generating solutions based on SAS products and services.

  • Leading teams with multiple resources in diverse advisory and sales activities, aiming to ensure the highest customer satisfaction and maximize SAS long-term revenue.

  • Ensuring that the client maximizes the value of their SAS investment and adoption, resulting in the preservation, evolution, and growth of our footprint in the client's business.

  • Presenting SAS capabilities and solutions to clients, including roadmaps and strategic direction.

  • Driving, building, and further developing strategic partnerships with Industry partners.

  • Serving as the primary technical contact for Account Executives, coordinating plans and activities with Solution Advisors, Engagement Managers, and supporting services.

  • Partnering with sales teams to develop and manage overall Account Plans for strategic development of clients and Opportunity Plans for specific sales cases.

  • Illustrating the value of analytics through presentations, discussions, demos, and PoCs.



Requirements



To succeed in this role, you should have:





  • At least 3 years of experience in technical sales, systems engineering, project management, applications development, and/or customer support, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • An interest in technology and willingness to learn about combining open-source and proprietary technologies to generate insights faster for business users.

  • Experience working with various types of data, such as real-world and observational data from patient registries, claims, or EMR data.

  • A keen interest in digital transformation projects and experience in cloud-enabled data science environments for analyzing data.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English.

  • Experience and passion for AI technology, its strengths, challenges, and ethics, and a desire to help Life Sciences organizations use analytics and AI for inclusive, compliant, diverse, and ethical therapy development.

  • Business acumen and experience in developing and maintaining relationships with partners, key consultancies, and system integrators to establish focused and effective strategic teaming arrangements.

Salary Range



The estimated salary for this position is approximately $120,000-$150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and location.
