Overview

The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a position as Senior Infectious Diseases Scientist.

The department of Infection Immunology at the University of Copenhagen is a leading institution in the field of infectious diseases. Our research focuses on understanding the complex interactions between pathogens and host immune systems, with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies.

Terms of Employment
The position is a permanent position, 9.25 hours per week.

Salary
The salary for the position will be according to the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations), which currently corresponds to approximately DKK 850,000-1,050,000 per year depending on seniority, with an annual supplement of approximately DKK 45,600. It is possible to negotiate salary supplements.

Working Hours and Conditions
39 workweeks annually (approximately 37 hours/week) including holidays, term breaks, etc. plus travel time and meals when on university business.

Professional Requirements
Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, or a related field. Experience in research and teaching is essential, and a strong publication record is required. Fluency in English is necessary, while knowledge of Danish may be an advantage.
