Job Summary: As our new Head of Content & SEO, you will own the area of organic search, drive user signups through SEO, and improve our websites to increase traffic and engagement.

The Role: You will work closely with our experienced team members, including our previous Head of Content & SEO with 15 years of SEO experience, and our CEO who also knows SEO. Your goal will be to drive user signups through SEO, which should lead to sold subscriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Production: You will work with our team to create high-quality content that attracts potential users and drives them to become paying customers.
  • Content Distribution: You will head up improving our visibility for low-funnel searches, barnacle SEO, mentions on larger sites, and inclusion in reviews.
  • Technical SEO and Website Improvements: You will run site diagnostics and maintain a prioritized pipeline of initiatives to improve our technical foundation and user experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience with SEO in a content marketing context.
  • Led or Participated in a Content Motion: You have led or participated in a content motion with good results, from continuous content idea generation to content writing and/or outsourcing and following up on results.
  • Analytical Skills: You are highly analytical, structured, and committed to a data-driven approach to your team's work.
  • Data Analysis: You are used to working with and analyzing data, both keyword and conversion data.
  • Communication Skills: You are fluent in English and have excellent communication & writing skills.
  • SEO Tech Stack: You know your way around the standard SEO tech stack: Web analytics (we use GA4), Google Search Console, and rank tracking and keyword research tools.
