We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our research group at the Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work on the development of quantum chemical methods and software for the prediction of molecular properties on hybrid classic-quantum architectures involving IBM's NISQ quantum computers.

About the Project

The project is a joint effort of the research groups of professor Stephan P. A. Sauer at the Department of Chemistry at University of Copenhagen, professor Sonia Coriani at the Department of Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark, and professor Jacob Kongsted at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in quantum chemistry on quantum computers
  • Develop and implement quantum chemical methods and software
  • Collaborate with other researchers in the project
  • Teach and supervise students
Requirements
  • PhD in Quantum Information Science, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Chemistry
  • Documented prior experience with quantum computing or quantum chemistry
  • Experience with quantum computing software libraries like IBM's Qiskit is an advantage
