">We are seeking an exceptional Geoinformatics Researcher to join our team at the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management.
">The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and conducting independent research within the project frame, focusing on urban expansion and associated land-use/land cover conversions within natural areas.
">This role involves spatial analyses of urban expansion trends, drawing mainly on remote sensing and GIS-based methodologies, as well as contributing to discussions on policies and planning for ecologically sensitive areas.
">The researcher will work closely with the PI and a PhD student, publishing scientific articles in internationally recognized journals and presenting findings at national and international conferences.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with strong methodological skills within geoinformatics, including GIS and high-resolution remote sensing in urban contexts.
">A PhD degree in geoinformatics, geography or related fields, along with a track record of relevant, high-quality academic publications, is required.
">Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential, and experience with integration of spatial and qualitative methodologies is considered an asset.

">This full-time position offers a competitive salary of approximately 52,000-65,000 DKK per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

">The postdoctoral position is available from 1 January 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter, and is limited to a period of 24 months.
