About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Engineering Stores. This key role is essential to the smooth functioning of our operations, ensuring that parts are in stock and readily available to minimize downtime on our production floor.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Engineering Stores & Procurement Manager, Site Engineering Manager, and Engineering team to ensure seamless coordination and efficient stock management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a clean and organized stores environment, adhering to warehouse safety standards
  • Receiving and inspecting incoming parts, verifying accuracy and quality
  • Checking for damaged or missing items on deliveries and coordinating returns with suppliers
  • Processing requests for parts and ordering from quotations received
  • Conducting daily cycle counting/stock takes and maintaining accurate records
  • Maintaining optimal stock levels using part history and Min/Max levels
  • Tracking critical/urgent deliveries and identifying cost-saving opportunities through resource optimization
  • Achieving and recording savings made through resourcing and replenishment of stock
  • Ensuring accuracy throughout all processes and addressing any discrepancies promptly
  • Organizing and optimizing warehouse space for safe and efficient storage
  • Providing detailed information and facts to support important standards and measures
  • Complying with company policies, procedures, and practices
  • Behaving in a manner that supports and demonstrates Company values (Challenge, Sense of Urgency & Openness)
  • Working independently and as part of a team to meet business objectives

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar inventory management role
  • Experience using CMMS systems with knowledge of FIFO & Min/Max
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work accurately and efficiently in a busy working environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written & verbal skills
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting & moving heavy objects

Estimated Salary: €35,000 - €40,000 per annum
