Job Description:

As a Senior Investment Associate at Rockstart, you'll drive portfolio management, leading the process from origination to closing investments. Your exceptional analytical skills, commercial insight, and ability to manage processes effectively will enable you to shift focus between topics without compromising quality or efficiency.

You'll work alongside our international team to increase Rockstart's investments portfolio value, aligning with company strategy and our purpose and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Partners and Rockstart team in lead generation, sourcing, assessment, and development of new investment opportunities in Rockstart ventures.
  • Research companies and trends to shape and refine fund investment strategy.
  • Identify social issues where impact venture investment can help scale innovative solutions, including through analysis of tech-enabled impact business models.
  • Support the investment team in collecting, analyzing, and categorizing the portfolio based on qualitative and quantitative data to monitor performance with periodic reporting.
  • Prepare and recommend capital allocation with Partners.
  • Prepare and draft investment recommendations and documentation for the Investment Committee.
  • Ensure investments are made in line with Rockstart's criteria for successful follow-on investments.
  • Build networks and relationships throughout the venture capital ecosystem, syndicating follow-on investments, and sharing dealflow with relevant investors.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience working with VC transactions.
  • Well-developed social and interpersonal skills, strong relationship management skills.
  • Possession of a passion for early-stage startups, desire to excel in venture capital and entrepreneurship.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English.

Bonus Points:

  • A great understanding or deep interest in the sustainability sector.
  • A master's degree in business, finance, or economics or stellar commercial entrepreneurial experience building a VC-backed startup.
  • An existing ecosystem and network of startups and mentors within the Denmark/Benelux/Nordic Venture Community.
