Postdoctoral Researcher in Marine Ecosystem Services

Aarhus University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Department of ECOSCIENCE. The successful candidate will work on developing methods for monitoring, modelling, and assessing the biodiversity gained through marine restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field-based monitoring using conventional and molecular techniques.
  • Investigate different restored habitats, such as seagrass meadows, kelp forests, and mussel reefs.
  • Collaborate with the marine biodiversity monitoring group and marine model group at the department, as well as external partners.
  • Contribute to strengthening the competences of the Danish national center for marine restoration.

Requirements: Applicants should hold a PhD in marine ecology, biology, environmental sciences, or similar. We expect that you have expertise in benthic ecology and biodiversity, experience with marine restoration, and a strong publication record. Good collaboration skills, very good knowledge of English, and experience in data analysis and statistical tools are also essential.
