About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our team in the Section for Parasitology and Aquatic Pathobiology. The successful candidate will work on various projects centered around exploring how the gut environment shapes type-2 immunity.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Designing and conducting experiments involving dietary manipulations, breeding, and experimental parasite infections of mice.
  • Performing extensive immunological analyses such as multiparameter flow cytometry and single-cell RNA sequencing.
  • Coupling these analyses with assessments of microbiome composition and mucosal barrier function.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in parasitology or immunology and experience with experimental animal models, flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, and Western Blotting. A demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications and proficient communication skills are also essential.

About the Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of approximately €47,000 per year, depending on qualifications, as well as an additional 17.1% contribution to your pension fund.
