Manufacturing Director of Operational Excellence

We are seeking an experienced People Manager to join our fast-growing organization as Associate Director of Drug Substance Manufacturing. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team within our Dispensary, Campaign Support & Solution Prep Department.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and hands-on experience with implementing and managing lean methodologies such as 5S, TWI, and 3C problem-solving. You will thrive in an operational environment where priorities may shift on short notice and balance entrepreneurial spirit with unwavering commitment to quality and adaptability.
In this role, you will lead with respect for every team member, nurturing their potential and growth. You will also shop floor management by supporting and facilitating visual management, escalation flow, and implementing transformative methodologies to enhance operational excellence.
You will ensure alignment with peers across the organization, develop the value stream, and drive continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and fostering a culture of shared responsibility. Additionally, you will embed core behaviors such as trust, customer delight, Gemba (on-site engagement), and Genki (enthusiasm) to foster a positive work environment.
As Associate Director, you will provide leadership to a Team of People Leaders within the area of Media and Buffer Preparation, defining the strategy and setting the direction for the department. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team within the Dispensary, Campaign Support & Solution Prep Department
- Implement and manage lean methodologies such as 5S, TWI, and 3C problem-solving

- Drive continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and fostering a culture of shared responsibility

Requirements:
- Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, or analogous sectors
- Strong foundation in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with implementing and managing systems like 5S, TWI, Dry training setups, 3C problem solving, and other lean methodologies
- A history of inspiring teams, embedding a LEAN culture, and emphasizing value creation
- Professional training or certifications related to operational excellence and lean methodologies
- Exceptional relationship-building capabilities, underpinned by respect for every individual
- Fluency in English
