About the Job

This Mass Spectrometry Application Associate role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to groundbreaking research in proteomics. You will work closely with our scientists to design and implement advanced LC-MS methods, analyze complex data sets, and develop innovative solutions to drive scientific progress.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize LC-MS methods for various applications, including proteomics and metabolomics.
  • Analyze large-scale data sets using specialized software, identifying trends and patterns that inform research outcomes.
  • Collaborate with researchers to integrate MS data into their projects, providing expert guidance on data interpretation and analysis.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot MS instruments, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in MS technology, applying this knowledge to enhance research capabilities and drive innovation.
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, fostering effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A relevant academic degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related fields).
  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining LC-MS instrumentation, with a strong background in proteomics workflows from sample prep to data analysis.
  • Expertise in Thermo Orbitrap and Bruker timsTOF operation is a significant advantage, allowing for optimized instrument use and enhanced research capabilities.
  • Basic knowledge of MS data analysis, with a focus on interpreting complex data sets and extracting valuable insights.
  • A service-oriented personality with a strong team-player attitude, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong English communication skills, both oral and written, enabling clear and concise communication of research findings and technical information.
