The Customer & Contract Management department plays a vital role in the Service Offshore department of Vestas Northern & Central Europe (NCE). As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality customer experience and professional contract management. Your main responsibilities will include providing advice and recommendations on contractual and commercial issues affecting the delivery of operations & maintenance (O&M) services.

Responsibilities

  1. Support the Service team through interpretation of the contract in terms of scope, obligations, rights, and remedies, and provide summaries thereto.
  2. Review incoming communications from the customer/contractors and, in coordination with the Service team, draft routine notices, submissions, and communications to be submitted in accordance with the contract.
  3. Maintain and supervise an overview of claims, and coordinate evaluation and resolution of such claims with other departments.
  4. Support negotiation and drafting of settlement agreements to optimize the resolution of disputes under the relevant contracts.
  5. Work closely with the Vestas Legal department.

Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated contract and claims management experience with in-depth knowledge of preparing claim correspondence in connection with defect/warranty claims, cost claims, and extension of time claims.
  2. Significant experience in wind or heavy construction industries, ideally as a contract & claims manager.
  3. Commercial awareness and acumen.
  4. Broad knowledge of the types and structure of contracts in the construction and energy industries (e.g., FIDIC).
  5. Professional qualifications (i.e. RICS) or relevant academic qualifications (i.e. legal qualifications related to construction industry) desirable.

  • Understanding of cultural differences in an international and geographically diverse organization.
