We are seeking an Advanced Mass Spectrometry Application Scientist to join our team at the University of Copenhagen's Proteomics Research Infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and applying cutting-edge mass spectrometry techniques.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field, and significant experience in operating and maintaining LC-MS instrumentation.

Responsibilities include conducting regular quality control checks to ensure optimal instrument performance, processing MS datasets with analysis software, and collaborating with users to customize MS methods for specific projects.

Your Tasks:

  • Develop and apply advanced mass spectrometry techniques
  • Process MS datasets with analysis software (e.g., DIA-NN, Spectronaut, FragPipe, MaxQuant), optimizing search parameters
  • Collaborate with PRI users to customize MS methods for specific projects
  • Conduct regular quality control to ensure optimal instrument performance
  • Maintain and trouble-shoot MS and HPLC instruments for reliable operation
