About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our team as a specialist in designing climate adaptation of drainage and sewer systems. The successful candidate will lead and facilitate projects within integrated urban drainage solutions and resilient and sustainable drainage systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading and facilitating projects within e.g., designing climate adaption of drainage and sewer systems, development of integrated urban drainage solutions and resilient and sustainable drainage systems etc.
- Diving into technical solutions within water and climate adaption such as: management of surface stormwater on terrain integrated in design of blue-green solutions, rain beds, SUDS, open and underground stormwater basins etc.
- Renovation and design of overflow structures, underground wastewater basins, pumpstations, offshore projects, stormwater tunnels etc.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues across COWI (e.g., landscape, road, rail, construction, port construction etc.)
- Conveying your knowledge to junior colleagues and the rest of the team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience with at least one discipline in drainage (e.g. designing of pipes, climate adaptation, pumping stations, offshore pipelines or similar) or other similar professional skills as Specialist, Discipline Lead or Project Manager
- A degree in engineering
- Knowledge in CAD-design tools
- Flair for customer and contractor contact
- Ability to work efficiently and structured
- Advanced communication skills in both Danish and English - both oral and written
