Your Journey as an Algorithmic Trader

In this role, you'll trade our renewables portfolio in the European energy markets, leveraging your expertise in quantitative techniques to analyze market and fundamental data. You'll play a key role in developing, deploying, and refining algorithmic trading strategies to optimize the production of renewable assets and support the balancing of demand and supply.

Responsibilities

  • Develop domain expertise in relevant markets and products.
  • Utilize quantitative techniques to analyze market and fundamental data, identifying potential trading opportunities.
  • Contribute to existing and developing new algorithmic trading and asset optimization strategies.
  • Conduct rigorous backtesting of trading strategies using historical data to assess performance and refine models.
  • Monitor the performance of trading algorithms, identifying any issues or anomalies, and deploy necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Contribute to the technical frameworks (Python) to ensure consistent and synergetic development of our trading abstractions.
  • Proactively ensure quality in both execution and governance.

Qualifications

  • Excellent quantitative modeling skills (e.g., statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics, engineering, physics).
  • Great coding skills (we use Python extensively, although the specific language is not a hard requirement).
  • Experience or a keen interest in learning about markets, particularly energy markets.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
