We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Trader to join our US team in Austin, Texas. As a key player on our new US natural gas trading desk, you will develop, execute, and manage trading strategies using quantitative analysis and algorithmic trading techniques.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute quantitative trading strategies in US natural gas
  • Continuously monitor and adjust algorithmic trading strategies to adapt to market conditions and mitigate risks
  • Track and report trading performance, providing regular updates and insights to senior management and stakeholders
  • Conduct market analysis to understand supply and demand dynamics, price trends, and geopolitical factors affecting the gas market

Requirements

  • Master's degree in finance, economics, or another related quantitative field
  • At least two years of experience in natural gas trading and knowledge of North American natural gas fundamentals
  • Proven track record of profitable trading, including using natural gas commodity trading platforms such as ICE and CME
  • Excellent skills in quantitative modeling (e.g., statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics, physics)
  • Great programming skills, preferably in Python
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Austin and work from our US-based office
