Job Description: Category Manager

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our Professional Services team at GlobalConnect. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing category strategies that drive profitability and value. Your expertise will be instrumental in spearheading consultant negotiations and ensuring top-notch procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Category Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive category plans to increase profitability and value within the Professional Services category.">
  • Manage Procurement Processes: Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and execution to ensure alignment with company goals.">
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment in category strategy.">
  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the category to drive growth and expansion.">
  • Build and Maintain Vendor Relationships: Foster strong partnerships with key vendors and partners to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.">

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum 3 Years of Experience: You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within Professional Services.">
  • Strong Background in Procurement: A solid understanding of procurement principles, vendor management, and strategic planning.">
  • Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, develop creative solutions, and make informed decisions.">
  • Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders.">
