We are excited to announce an opportunity for a highly skilled PhD researcher to join our innovative DFF research project. This fully funded 3-year position offers the chance to develop photonic crystallization and annealing techniques for antimony chalcogenide (Sb₂X₃) films.
The project focuses on crystallizing antimony chalcogenide-based absorbers (Sb₂X₃ compounds, including Sb₂S₃, Sb₂Se₃, and mixed chalcogenides) using unexplored techniques to develop highly efficient, flexible, and sustainable solar cells.
The PhD researcher will be part of the Thin-Film Photovoltaics group at DTU Risø campus and collaborate with researchers from the Research Laboratory for Thin Films and Photovoltaics at Empa, Switzerland. Our team consists of experienced professionals working together to achieve groundbreaking results.
Key Project Components:- Processing and crystallization of Sb₂X₃ thin films using solution-based and thermal methods
- Investigating and optimizing FLA parameters for directional crystallization
- Transitioning Sb₂X₃ solar cell fabrication to flexible substrates
Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments on Sb₂X₃ film fabrication, crystallization, and characterization
- Analyze and optimize the physical and electrical properties of materials and devices
- Present findings at international conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals
