The Center for Microbial Secondary Metabolites aims to understand the role of microbial secondary metabolites in shaping microbial societies in their natural environments. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will contribute to this goal by exploring the network of signal molecules that affect gene expression, behavior, and metabolism of microorganisms.

You will utilize sequence-based, analytical-chemical, molecular, bioinformatic, and classic microbiological methods to answer questions related to the ecological function of secondary metabolites in their natural environment.

This interdisciplinary collaboration will enable you to tackle ambitious research goals while contributing to the development of new technologies and innovative approaches in microbial ecology.

We seek a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic team.
