PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Global Commercial Finance (GCF) organization provides leadership, service, and insight in all commercial related activities. The Nordic Commercial Organization supports CS/Sales and external customers with a focus on quality, time, and adherence to compliance requirements. Commercial business partners support sales account teams with a focus on commercial processes such as deal review & structuring, contracting, orchestration of complex deals, and negotiation support for Quarterly Critical Customers.
We are looking for you as a Commercial Business Partner for the Nordic Commercial Organization based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The role has a strong commercial focus and is embedded in the commercial area. It involves close collaboration with sales teams and often takes a key role in deal approval coordination, advising on deal structure, providing pricing information, identifying risk and revenue recognition issues, and finding practical commercial solutions to meet customer needs while maintaining compliance standards.
The job requires actively supporting the commercial process and coordination of complex transactions, together with other Subject Matter Experts involved, such as Legal, Revenue Recognition and Pricing, Contracting, and SAP management. You will manage various commercial contracts/requests according to company policies, applicable laws, and customer requirements.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Ensure complex Cloud and On Prem Deals are approved in proper manner and timelines according to internal deal approval processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and management policies and basic legal requirements.
• Analyze historical situations with customers and business practices, preview/predict potential pitfalls and issues for each particular business case, and timely communicate and follow up with the sales organization about any new facts or potential topics affecting the deal and/or contract with the customer;
• Advise Account Executives on standard Contracting, Pricing, and Revenue Recognition topics and provide information when requested; review and comment on deal structures provided by the Account Executive;
• Prepare Contract Order Forms based on SAP's standard template; review, comment on, and redraft Customer's review and redlining;
• Support the SAP Account Team in customer dialogue and negotiation related to SAP contracts and pricing rules;
• Drive decision-making processes considering customer requirements, field organization business targets and needs, internal rules and restrictions, financial risks, and compliance matters; escalation management where appropriate;
• Facilitate contract creation for Account Executives by explaining the process steps.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
• Proficient knowledge and at least 3-5 years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Revenue Recognition, Pricing, Contracting, Quote Support, Legal
• Understanding of Deal Support and risk management during the opportunity lifecycle
• Ability to network in different disciplines and departments and to other organizational units
• Strong team player
• Service-mindedness and customer- & solution orientation
• Knowledge about various business scenarios and respective process flows and contact points
• Negotiating skills
• Preferred candidate will be experienced in deal support topics such as pricing and deal structuring, revenue recognition, legal, risk management, customer-facing activities
• Working experience with Shared Service Centre and Center of Expertise organizations
• Advanced written and spoken English skills; Danish language skills are required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Highest school degree or successfully completed University Degree (preferred) or similar proficient experience
• 3-5 years of experience in finance or commercial areas with a proven performance track record
• Professional on-the-job training of commercial curriculum trainings e.g. Commercial Belt Program, GFA Academy, and corresponding Certification
