Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Global Finance team, specifically supporting our operations in Hungary. This is a full-time position with a focus on financial management and accounting services.

About the Role:
  • Process accounting data into the company's system, including booking expenses, hours, invoices, intercompany sales invoices, protocols, etc.
  • Reconcile G/L accounts and perform IC reconciliation.
  • Receive and validate timesheets for travel and other expenses.
  • Update information on rotation and pre-calculation of payroll.
  • Prepare Payroll for HU and NON-HU employees.
  • Report Payroll to Recipient Countries in accordance with deadlines.
  • Reconcile with customers and work with outstanding invoices.
  • Work with online banking systems and bank statements WISE.
  • Create and validate external and internal projects in NAV Dynamics.
  • Prepare supporting report files in Excel and ad hoc reports.
  • VAT preparation and submission to local Hungarian government.
  • Monthly reporting to the parent entity located in Denmark.
  • Prepare budgets and participate in forecasting reports.
  • Prepare Yearly Financial TAX Declaration and Statements of the Hungarian company. Submit local Declarations and reports regarding Hungarian legislations.
  • Assist with external audits - local and from Group.
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of Hungarian Local Financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Hungarian (B2-C1 level).
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Affinity for and knowledge of GAAP principles and reporting.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Excellent computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English.
Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is between €35,000 - €60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This includes benefits and additional compensation packages.
