The Neurobiologisk Forskningsenhed, Rigshospitalet is a pioneering translational neuroscience research unit advancing preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic solutions for brain disorders. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in NeuroImaging and Deep Learning, you will work on improving the current state-of-the-art automatic detection of brain abnormalities in epilepsy and develop models to assist diagnosis.

Estimated Salary

$61,000 - $76,000 per year

This competitive salary is estimated based on industry standards and takes into account the location in Copenhagen, Denmark, which offers a high quality of life and a strong economy. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be well-compensated for your expertise and experience.

About the Role

You will join a team of expert clinicians and researchers working on clinically relevant projects, focusing on tackling abnormalities in MR of clinical quality. The position involves close collaboration with Associate Professor Melanie Ganz and Professor Gitte Moos Knudsen at the University of Copenhagen, a top-ranked institution in continental Europe.

Key responsibilities include developing deep learning models applied to medical imaging, working independently and collaboratively within a team, and providing technical support to clinicians in their respective research. A background in neuroimaging, medical imaging, or equivalent is essential, while knowledge of epilepsy, natural language processing, and Danish language is a plus.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • PhD in Neuroimaging, Medical Imaging, or equivalent
  • Established expertise in deep learning models applied to medical imaging
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Knowledge regarding epilepsy, natural language processing, and Danish language is a plus
