Postdoctoral Research Fellow for Proteomics Investigation of Cardiac Disease Mechanisms
2 weeks ago
Job Description
The Cardiac Proteomics Group at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to investigate protein regulations involved in the pathogenesis of cardiometabolic syndrome. The research fellow will utilize quantitative proteomics-based approaches to identify molecular changes driving the disease state in hearts from animal models, patient samples, and cell systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct experimental investigations of cellular and animal disease models using mass spectrometry-based proteomics
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify molecular changes driving the disease state
- Collaborate with the research team to integrate multi-omics datasets and develop novel research strategies
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field, including Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Sciences
- Expert knowledge in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and data analysis
- Experience in cardiac biology or physiology is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
What We Offer
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and strong scientific environment, with access to state-of-the-art laboratories and core facilities. The position provides a unique opportunity to develop expertise in cutting-edge quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomics and data analysis.
