Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor to join our team at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in peptide ligand discovery, biochemical and biophysical characterization of peptides and proteins, and protein folding.

The Associate Professor will be responsible for conducting research, developing and teaching courses, and supervising students. They will also contribute to the department's research and education activities, and engage in outreach and innovation activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of scientific research, excellent teaching and communication skills, and the ability to attract external funding. They will also have a clear plan for integrating sustainability into their research and teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in peptide ligand discovery, biochemical and biophysical characterization of peptides and proteins, and protein folding
  • Develop and teach courses in relevant fields
  • Supervise students and postdoctoral researchers
  • Contribute to the department's research and education activities
  • Engage in outreach and innovation activities

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Strong track record of scientific research
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to attract external funding
  • Clear plan for integrating sustainability into research and teaching

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with biophysical protein characterization
  • Track record of innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Experience with teaching and supervision

Working Conditions:

The position is a permanent position with a salary and other terms and conditions of appointment set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.
