We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team at the Department of Neuroscience, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.

About the Job

The successful candidate will contribute to our research on pain biology and work closely with the principal supervisor, Associate Professor Kenneth Lindegaard Madsen. You will have the opportunity to design and conduct experiments using cutting-edge techniques such as single-cell RNA sequencing and in vivo imaging.

The position offers a unique chance to collaborate with leading researchers in the field and contribute to the development of new treatments for chronic pain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and conducting experiments using transgenic mice and behavioral assays
  • Analyzing data using advanced statistical methods and collaborating with researchers within the department and external collaborators
  • Disseminating results at seminars, international conferences, and for the general public

Requirements

  • PhD in neuroscience or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years postdoctoral research experience
  • Strong knowledge of pain biology and experience with rodent pain models
