Scientist for the Cell Culture Team (2-year temporary position)

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of antibody products. You will be part of the Cell Culture team, specifically in the upstream process development area.

Your responsibilities will include developing Symphogen cell lines and upstream processes. This will involve hands-on work with laboratory-scale equipment, as well as tech transfer to external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). The in-house development work may require occasional weekend shifts. You will collaborate with colleagues in Denmark and France, as well as partners at external CMOs.

The Cell Culture team is part of the Drug Substance Development department. All development work will be done in close cooperation with technicians and scientists in this department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of experiments
  • Hands-on execution of cell culture processes in laboratory-scale
  • Documentation of development work and writing of reports
  • Technical transfer to CMO's and oversight of outsourced activities
    • Maintenance of manufacturing documents
    • Review and approval of batch documentation
    • Troubleshooting and documentation of quality incidents
  • Support for writing and maintaining regulatory documentation
  • Optimization of laboratory processes and workflows

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or a related field
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture processes from laboratory-scale
  • Strong communication and language skills, written and verbal
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, team player with commitment, initiative, and humor
